The globe loves the flavorful and spiciness of the Chinese meal known as Kung Pao Chicken. Soy sauce and other traditional Chinese spices are used to season the chicken, which is stir-fried with peanuts, veggies, and chili peppers.

Here is a straightforward home recipe for Kung Pao chicken:

Ingredients:

•1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces

1/2 cup peanuts

•2 tablespoons vegetable oil

•2 cloves garlic, minced

•1 red bell pepper, chopped

•1 green bell pepper, chopped

•3-4 dried chili peppers, chopped

•1/2 teaspoon Sichuan peppercorn

•2 tablespoons soy sauce

•1 tablespoon dark soy sauce

•1 tablespoon rice wine or sherry

•1 tablespoon cornstarch

•1 tablespoon water

•1 teaspoon sugar

•Green onion, chopped, for garnish

Instructions:

1. Combine the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, rice wine, cornstarch, water, and sugar in a small bowl. Set aside.

2.In a wok or sizable skillet, heat the oil over high heat. Stir-fry the chicken for two to three minutes, or until it is thoroughly done. Chicken should be taken out of the wok and put aside.

3. Stir-fry the garlic, dried chili peppers, and Sichuan peppercorns for 10 to 20 seconds, or until fragrant, in the wok.

4.Continue to stir-fry the bell peppers for an additional 1–2 minutes.

5.Add the soy sauce mixture to the wok along with the cooked chicken, and stir-fry for an additional one to two minutes, or until the sauce thickens and the chicken and veggies are coated.

6.Add the peanuts and continue to stir-fry for an additional 30 seconds.

7.Serve hot with rice or noodles and garnish with finely chopped green onion.

With your loved ones and friends, enjoy some homemade Kung Pao chicken!
